On July 1st, 2000, the City of Tempe and members of the Tempe Officer's Association entered into an agreement that granted employee rights concerning wages, benefits and working conditions to the Police Officers in the City of the Tempe Police Department. These rights apply to Police Officers including all classifications up to and including Sergeants, but excluding all Lieutenants, Commanders, Assistant Chiefs, Chiefs and non-sworn employees. The agreement is known as the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
This site is designed to assist members of the Tempe Officer's Association with questions regarding their rights and how to apply those rights. Access to this website is restricted to members of the Tempe Officer's Association. Limited access will be granted to all officers and sergeants of the Tempe Police Department regardless of TOA membership.
